As we are studying states (in order as they came into the Union) with MFW's "Exploration to 1850" curriculum I've been coming across some helpful internet resources. So far we've only done a few, but they are listed below. I hope that as we continue on to be able to post more resources as I have time. Here at Homeschool Blogger we have a great resource for information on our 50 states. Just visit www.homeschoolblogger.com/50states . Delaware www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/states/delaware/ www.educationamerica.net/facts/index.phtml www.classbrain.com/artstate/publish/cat_index_15.shtml Pennsylvania www.ipl.org/div/stateknow/pa1.html sites.state.pa.us/kids/state_emblems.htm New Jersey www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/states/newjersey/ www.nj.gov/hangout_nj/assignment_facts.html www.state.nj.us/njfacts/njsymbol.htm Georgia www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/states/georgia/ www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2005_06/house/kids/elemsymbols.htm Other sites for kids learning about our nation and government: bensguide.gpo.gov/ www.whitehouse.gov/about/white_house_101/ www.usmint.gov/kids/ Blessings, Missy |
