Feb. 9, 2007 - The Wizard and Wal-Mart
Life comes at you fast...and boy has it been busy!
I started working at Wal-Mart two and a half weeks ago to help with the re-model project. This is a temporary, full time job and will end April 20th. It has been quite an experience! I have never punched a time clock or worked for a large corporation. However, I am enjoying it. I nearly walked out, today, because I really have a hard time with the "holier than thou" attitude one of the re-model overseers has. But, I bit my tongue and hung in there. It is only temporary.
Life at home is another story! My family seems to be barely surviving without me. But, they are surviving. I am beginning to feel apppreciated. I leave very easy school assignments for my husband to oversee and I am lucky if those get done. However, he is getting a good handle on all the paperwork I do for the mobile home park we own and it is a relief to not have to do that for awhile! We are going to put our park up for sale while the neighboring park is for sale...who knows, maybe a good offer will come in, we have nothing to lose! There is an interesting property we are looking at in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
So, the Wizard of Oz is coming along nicely. Both Sara and Joshua are doing great with their rehearsals and I will finish the detail work on their costumes tomorrow. Next week will be very hectic. The rehearsal schedule is nearly every day and I will have to go directly from work to the theatre. I will post photos of the costumes as soon as I can.
I am totally exhausted and I will probably have to edit this later! Off to bed!
