Our King of Kings!
This stained glass photo was sent to me by a friend. He called it "Our King of Kings" and he is so right!
It is amazing what will happen when you truly "Let Go and Let God". It has been a rough road for me. A close friend once said to me "Lisa, you are so in and out of God it's amazing you even believe." His words got me thinking and I have worked harder at trying to follow God's will for my life.
I called the third store on my list yesterday and spoke with the head CSM, Donna, and she was delightful! She welcomed me aboard and was looking forward to meeting me soon. She will call me back on Tuesday with the details of my starting date, etc. I told her I didn't know anyone but she said that if I was as friendly in person as I sounded on the phone I would have no problems making friends.
I am happy that she can give me 32-34 hours a week and 40+ hours over the holidays. Also, I will be getting a small pay raise! The store I am in now cannot give me more hours. I have tried and tried to get more. The area is not growing and their sales have been falling. So, the hours are not there.
Several of the associates I work with have come to me to tell me that they are sad to see me go. Even the store manager and co-manager have said that they are sorry to lose me because I have been such a joy to work with! One of the cashiers is organizing a girl's night out going away party for me. I am so touched. I had no idea I was so well liked! It is a little sad to leave all the friends I have made.
There is no doubt that I am getting a bit nervous about driving this 37' coach towing a 16' car 300+ miles. I can do it...I will just have to take my sweet ol' time!!! I just wish Sara would stop laughing at me when she thinks of me driving it!
