I took Tanner to the Karate place here in town the other day, thought we would just check it out, What an experience!

The owner talked Abby into to joining him and Tanner, he talked to them about respect, saying yes sir, no sir etc., how they are responsible for their actions.

He asked them who thier biggest enemy was, in unison they said "The Devil"! lol, I was so proud!!! But he told them that they were their own worse enemy, he said the devil will tell you to do things that are wrong but you make a choice to do that thing or not. I of course was very impressed with him, he also talked to them about helping me around the house, " big points with mom, smart man"!lol

So of course both of them wanted to join, they went to their first official class lastnight, and they loved it.

I really wanted Michael to join too, but he is so shy and he really doesn't want too, I do think it would be great for him, but I hate to push him if he really dosen't want to.

He has been taking Guitar lessons to learn to play the Bass for about 6 months or so, he has learned alot, and this is the first thing I have ever seen him truly enjoy, the church has been teaching him to run sound for them also, and he really enjoys that.

We have been battling with him over his music taste for awhile, I have been really worried about the things we might face if he didn't change, he has always been drawn to the heavy metal music, the kids who wear black and have piercings, and I have told him that what those people stand for is not good, and the ones who are, are judged by their apperance, we are not supposed to judge, but people do.

Lastnight he came in the kitchen and told me about a guy that gave his testamony on tv, he said mom, he was so cool, he said he had always loved heavy metal, he had tatoos all over his body, he told how he had gotten into drugs,what a hard life he had had, but then he had gotten saved, he talked about how the guy hated the fact that he had all of the tatoos, and that he felt like it hurt his witness, and that he wished he had never gotten involved with the group that he was in, I listened to him talk and I was so amazed.

I don't know why I was so surprised, I know that God loves Michael even more than I do, he knows that Michael can't be what he has called him to be, if that is the path that he chooses, so I beleive God showed him that, because nothing mom says, even though I have told him those very things.... matter to him, I am just mom.

So I just Thank God for sending that man to be a witness to him, he is so good.
