Done! Lapbooks are done!!!

Can I hear an Amen?  Yes, after several weeks of fun study and adventure, we are done with our lapbooks and unit study for science.  We ended our fun little study with a trip down to San Diego to see first hand our animals in action.   Of course, ants are everywhere but to see them in San Diego was a new adventure.  lol.  The crocodile is always fun to look at up close.  So much fun in the sun.

We ended our study with cutting, sticking, pasting and writing in our offical FIRST time lapbook ever.  The kids are thrilled!  We tied the ends up with some key chains (my youngest son liked the paperclip look better) and took some photos.  Hope you can see them and all the details.  We found these great stickers at the scrapbooking store that had lines printed on stickers to journal.  My eldest son loved doing that.  Most of the lapbook was just copying down what they already wrote down in the written report they did earlier.  Easy.  The stickers made the books come alive for the boys.  We just can't wait to do another!!!

In fact, I'm thinking we might do an Anchient History lapbook next year with paper mache, clay molds and such...  I'll keep you posted!

Also, I wanted to share with you my yahoo group - please stop by and join.  It's a fun place to share ideas like these and gain new perspective on your crazy homeschool year.  Stop by my link for just4homeschoolfamilies...
