Bugs and Boys

So, yesterday morning I was doing my weekly thing on Friday mornings...  dishes, laundry...etc.  When my youngest son begins to call for his older brother to come outside.  Being curious, I peek outside the curtain to see what the excitement is.  I see my son leaning over the sidewalk poking something,  My other son then goes outside and yells "cool!".  I wait a few moments and then they yell for me...  I come outside only to see an extreemly large snail smashed in the middle of my porch with slime and green stuff smeared all over.  Then the boys show me a stick where they "extracted" a large long blue (organ?) from the snail.  Just completely GROCE!  Of course, I have to look interested or I know it will end up all over me...  so, I lean closer ot look and then try to do the homeschool mom thing... make a lesson on God's creatures.  That didn't go over very well, but it stopped the disection on my porch.  Hmmm.  They made me promise not to wash it off until daddy got home.  So, I tipped toed around that slimy, dried up, smashed snail all day.  I was proud of myself for not freaking out...  not that snails bug me (lol) but rather the thought of slime all over our barefeet does!  Later, dad came home and did the whole "cool" thing with the boys (why is that?) and I was free to wash down the porch.  Hurray!

So, just another exciting day at the Watne family home.  :)  Any stories to share with me?  Just let me know your blog address and I'll stop by for a visit.
