So Much Time

Day 3 on crutches...  I'm doing it.  I am finding out that I have muscles in places I never knew I had muscles before.  I think I'm more sore from the crutches than from the break itself!  Amazing.

My trip to church this morning was something to be desired.  Oh yeah, I got attention...  but can you imagin how silly I felt when I had to explain that I actually broke my Fibia four weeks ago, but just went to the doctor 3 days ago?  Yeah, I got a few raised eyebrows.  I guess I could have hid in my house this morning and escaped all the questions. But I didn't.  And I'm glad I went - despite my owie.

Well, on that note...  I just had to share that I enjoyed that attention SO MUCH (NOT!), that my darling hubby decided to stop off at the store to do some grocery shopping on our way home.  I really didn't think he was serious until he parked the car and turned off the engine!  I was speechless, but my expression must of been screaming: "How on the earth am I supposed to go shopping???" - Only because, he hurried to show me that I could use the motorized-chair in the store...  the one that you drive.  Oh yeah, no one notices you when you're in THAT!  Oh!   I just sat there with a smile, honking and trying how not to crash into the can goods.   Total humility - I was surprised to see out how polite people were and how nice they can really be when they see an injured person (in a run-a-way motorized wheelchair - with a basket on it).  My oldest son made me laugh.  He quoted a commercial: - You know the one, the one with the MUCH older people who can't walk anymore...  they never leave their house nor go shopping because they have no way of getting around - It's an advertizement for a motorized wheelchair!  Sort of like the one I was driving.  Well, he loudly proclaimed:  "You've got your mobility back".  It was funny!!!  However, now I know why the elderly hide in their houses!!!

Well, that's it for the day.  I'll be back.  I just can't seem to do anything other than sit on the couch and rest.  Shoot, that gives me time to write in my blog!  Hurray.  I guess I'll come by and say hello SOON!
