Dirty Laundry

Since my broken ankle, I have tried to keep my boys occupied by strategically planning special play dates.  I've been careful to plan with friends who live close by...  only because I am unable to drive.  That way if the boys need to be driven somewhere, they can be picked up and not taken far (I'm very protective in allowing other people to drive my children around). Well, today I have one of those special play dates arranged.  Unfortunately, my plan has been shaken up.  Being that my middle name is Mrs. Organized, I had every little detail worked out (ie:  The front room picked up - not the bathrooms or bedroom - the kitchen slightly picked up, but some dishes still in the sink...etc - HEY, I have a broken foot and I can't do much!)  I tell you, I'm heading to the Loonie Bin real soon!!!  Anyway, I was feeling pretty confident about the whole deal today, but then I got a surprise this morning in a phone call.  My friend's little boy is dying to climb my son's tree.  Now I know that my friends will not judge me by my messy house (regardless of a broken foot), but I still feel uncomfortable in allowing people to see my mess!!!  Anyway, the mom pleaded that her son spend some time here and play...  Of course, I had to say "Ok" - with a smile, but MY HOUSE IS IN CHAOS!  Do you know what that is???

Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome!!!

I really need to go look up a number in the phone book...  Do I look under L for Loonie...  or is that not a word???
