Welcome to my little corner of the beach in Southern California. I am married to one amazing man who loves me with a heart of Christ and who has blessed me to be a stay-at-home homeschool mom of three wonderful blessings. My heart is for homeschool ministry and helping others through encouragement. I've been homeschooling since the beginning and love it more and more every day.

I began my journey in homeschooling based on Bible scriptures found in Deuteronomy chapter 6:6-12 Homeschooling With Encouragement is dedicated to encourage the homeschool mom. I am the owner of a Yahoo group, monthly newsletter, two homeschool blogs, and the Weblink Education website.

Friday Show and Tell - Four Generations

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Today I'm going to Show and Tell my grandmother.  Yes, sounds strange, but she did the greatest thing... something worth showing and telling about.  You see, on Monday of this week my father brought my 93 year old grandmother over to celebrate my daughters first birthday.  This was special because since my broken ankle, I haven't been able to get out and see anyone!!!  It was such a great visit!   I'm so thankful we were able to snap this photo...  four generations:

You can't really see it, but my grandmother gave my daughter this beautiful crystal angel with a personal letter attached.  I should have waited to read the letter, but I just couldn't help it (even though I just knew I would cry like a baby when I read it).  The letter is to my daughter.  It shares about how the angel she gave my daughter is a symbol of the prayers in Heaven that circle the thrown of God... all for my daughter.  The angel is also to serve as a reminder of how much my grandmother loves her - and to some day be displayed not only in her bedroom while growning up, but in her own house when she is grown up.  Why?  So my grandmother's memory won't be forgotten.  Touching.   My grandmother was so certian that she would not live to see my daughter be born, much less see my daughters first birthday... but she did.  We're so thankful!  I just had to share...  sometimes people make the most valuable show and tell items!

Now it is my turn...  I can't wait to go visit all of you and your Show and Tell for this Friday.  If you want to join us  just.... ~Make a Show and Tell Post and make sure it is wholesome. It can be pretty much what ever you want to share.  It could be about you ...or your family ....or what is going on in your homeschooling.

Then, be sure to go visit Canadagirl  and tell her that you joined S&T. She will then link you to her Friday Show and Tell and to the many other bloggers that are participating.  It's so fun!

Enjoy your Friday!!!

That would have made me cry bucket loads! My kids never knew any of my grandparents. In fact, I only really know one grandparent. What a precious gift that was given to your little girl.

I almost cried reading your post. My Grandma is already in Heaven, but she did get to meet my oldest dd when she was 2yrs old and we got a photo. What a treasure that angel will be!

What a treasure your daughter will have to remember her great grandmother. That is just precious and to have a picture of the 3 of you to remember her 1st birthday. It sounds as if her pink birthday was really special after all.

I can't believe how much your grandmother resembles my own grandmother (who passed away 2 weeks before my daughter's first baby was born. We would have been a FIVE generation picture!). That is so precious. Only one question: You said 4 generations, but I only see 3 people in the picture. Is your mom missing from this photo?

SEE you were suppose to have it and you already have a photo to scrapbook in her little pink album of a treasure of a life time.

How totally awesome!

Happy Birthday! And praising God for the Joy!

Because of Jesus, Bobbie

That is a great topic for show and tell. I enjoyed reading it. I didn't see your mother in the picture. Was she there?
