It can be
100 degrees or
60 degrees, my kids can't seem to put a shirt on for school! I don't understand the meaning behind this, but I'm lucky if I can
swindle the blankets that cover them off before they come to the table. Most of time, I confess, the blankets follow us to school, too.
Actually, I'm not completely complaining. As you saw last week, a bare child's chest can be useful for diagraming the
bones in the body. Today, it was good for locating flexible muscles and joints. We're having so much fun studying the human body! In fact, we incorporated my MRI photos and our household doors, light switches, and other hinges to back up God's plan for movement. I've got to admit that my boys didn't know exactly what I was leading up to when I showed them how the door actually works, or why light switches don't rotate like a ball/socket... but when I tied it in with our knees and elbows - even our heads and backs... they got the "picture".
God is a
wonderful creator. The human body is a
tremendous piece of art! The more we study the body and go through all that I am with my ankle, I am gaining more and more
respect for our Creator. You see, although our Lord was the first to create all the ligaments and tendons for our human body -
man was able to take that
great design and create
"ligaments and tendons" (hinges, brackets...etc) for our homes. What a great plan!
I'm so thankful that I am able to see this in our every day life. I have been homeschooling for 6 years and I am still falling in love with it more every day!
