Today I am show and telling about my favorite thing... photos! Hurray! I finally was able to find some baby photos of me when I was a little girl. My parents didn't take many photos of me while growing up (though my brother had a whole album of himself - yuck!) and I thought for years that none existed of little ol me. I was real upset when I had my little girl because I didn't know if she looked like me or not when I was a child. Then, I found the album at my mom's house! I have about 20 photos!!! Wow! To think I thought none existed!!! So, I am posting just a couple that my wonderful husband archived on the computer for me (so I can have my own copy). What a great guy!!!
The top photo is of me on my first birthday. My daughter just had her first birthday in August and she looks EXACTLY like me!!! Wow!
This one was taken in my back yard - with my basket full of puppies. We only had one litter from our dog named Raisin. She was a raggedy old dog without much hair, but her puppies were delightful! Of course the runt of the litter, also looked just like her mom. Hmmm... see a theme?
This photo is my kindergarten photo. Curly hair, which I still have if I don't blow dry it and straighten it every day. I look just like my mom! I don't have a photo of her (she runs at the site of a camera), but trust me... I look just like her!
So, the moral of my Show and Tell story is... The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree? Well, not sure about that one, but at least I know that genetics sure plays a big part in the looks department.
To think we may look alike, yet be so different. God is amazing!
