Sewer Fishing...

What actually gave my boy the idea there were fish monsters in the sewer?   Who knows!  But one thing I do know is this...  Yesterday's adventure of  "Sewer Fishing" started out innocently enough - but as you know, news travels fast...   After all, when a seven year old is standing in the middle of the street with a stick and some string hanging down into the sewer - people take notice!!!

I mean, what started out as ONE fisherman ...  quickly turned to TWO

Which ultimately, led to THREE fishermen fishing in the sewer...

Thankfully, nothing was actually caught ~ Only good clean fun!   No wet strings (*grose*) and no dirty little wiggly things on the ends of the rope.   What I can't believe is that this post is coming from a mother who thrives on Anti-bacteria wipes (in the car, in the purse, next to the hamster cage).  Yes, I admit it...  I allowed this sewer fishing game to continue throughout the day (as long as the strings stayed dry)  - setting an All Time High with the neighborhood kids. No one ever thought about "Sewer Fishing" before (leave it to my kids - figures).   Let's just say that it's an All Time High I hope quickly ends soon!

Please share any and all  "sewer" moments with me...  it will help me feel a little better about letting my kids fish in the middle of the street...   I mean, can you imagine if they pulled something up??!!
