Recently I received a great little devotion from
Proverbs 31 Ministries about New Year Resolutions. The writer explained in a poem about a mother's heart based on attitude and action. Explaining how important it is to put God first in your life during struggles, confrontations, and even laughter. I loved it so much, I posted it on my
Yahoo group and got a huge response. Many are printing the promise out and posting it on their walls at home. Well, this gave me a great idea!!! But first, here is a snippit of the poem...
"When times of crises, conflict, or confusion arise, I will hit my knees before I hit the phone knowing that by my example my children will discover that although friends are important, God alone is the one who holds..."
"In all things, I will remember that more is caught than is taught"
"I will erase the words "luck" and "lucky" from my vocabulary and will instead by my speech point my children toward the One who orchestrates every detail of our lives and..."
On that note, I decided to make a little booklet with the poem inside and a couple of bookmarks along with it. Here are some photos of the bookmarks...
"A Mom's Promise" is delicate looking - soft in color and lace. Inside are the words that will inspire every mom to do her best each day... giving glory to Christ, her Lord. I wanted to make the beaded bookmarks to serve as a daily reminder of the booklet and offer them for sale. Each book and beaded bookmark is unique and carefully made. Each bookmark has a small silver charm of creation (starfish, dolphin, lady bugs...etc) attached at the end. I have four made as of today... ready to go! This would be the perfect gift for those mom's you know on Valentine's Day... or a birthday coming up... even just a nice gesture for friendship. Be inspired!!! If you would like to purchase one, I made it easy... just click on the "buy now" link below and it will walk you through. Hope to hear from you!!!
