Show and Tell - Rainbows

Show and Tell with Canadagirl

I'm standing in the kitchen making a homemade Mexican meal in celebration of the tortillas I made the day before...  when the phone rings.  My dad is on the phone.  He shares that he has just seen the most beautiful rainbow ever.  I run outside and look to the sky and there it was..   So BIG and CLOSE!  In fact, there were three all within one rainbow - but my husband was only able to capture one in this photo (they are hard to photograph).

My kids loved seeing them...  they ran up the street to see if they could touch the end of one of them.   It ended just a little ways from our house.  I've never seen one so close before.  Did you know that when a rainbow touches the ground that it illuminates everything it touches?  The trees, brush, and grounds glowed the colors of the rainbow.  Just beautiful.  I bet that is where they get the story of the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Anyway, soon all the neighbors were outside looking to the sky.  Seeing this, I though to myself  "Wow, God is finally getting some attention".  Isn't it something... all the wonderful things our Lord does on a day to day bases, but when he suddenly pops out a rainbow - people start to notice the creator.   It's just something, to me.  I will never take for granted the colors of the rainbow nor the glorious craftsmanship of His mighty work.
