Prayer Request Sunday - February 10, 2008

Welcome To This Weeks (February 3, 2008)
Prayer Request Sunday

"As each one has received a fight, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."  1 Peter 4:10

Side Note - I am posting a "praise" before anything... because the enemy really fought me to get this edition of Prayer Request Sunday up and posted tonight.  I lost it three times erasing everything and had to rely on my memory for names and requests.  I pray I got them all right.  Please forgive me if I missed anyone.  You are welcome to post any prayer needs on my cbox and/or comment section.  Thank you.

New Prayer Request

Karen - S.A.L.T. - Karen was scheduled for induction this past Tuesday.  I have not heard how things went or how she (nor the baby) are doing.  Please continue to pray for karen until we hear from her.  Thank you.

Bobbie's Uncle - Please pray for his protection and the going forth of God's Word this Sunday.  He is teaching in a dangerous location with the help of an interpreter.  Please pray for his safe return.

Londa - Is a 25 year surviver of breast cancer.  Unfortunately, this week she was diagnosed with breast cancer once again.  Please pray for wisdom and peace while she undergoes treatment.  Also, for Kristy, her daughter, as she provides support and care.

Rosina - Her sister-in-law lost her young 15 year old son unexpectantly this week.  The funeral is this weekend.  Please pray for unity among family members and peace for the service.  Also, lets pray for an out pouring of love for the family during this time - that healing of their hearts would take place while keeping this young man's memory alive and well.

Lori - Her mother was diagnosed this past Friday with what the Dr.s called a spontaneous colostomy.  She will be facing surgery to repair the rupture.  Please continue in prayer for quick healing and wisdom for the doctors.  Also, Lori's father also need support through prayer.

Mary - Her sister was dianosed with a cancerous tumor on her arorta.  She had surgery to remove other cancer, but was not able to take the tumor from the heart.  She went home from the hospital this past Friday.  Mary will be taking care of her for a while.  Please lift Mary up in prayer as she need added strength emotionally and physically during this time.  Also, pray for the sister that she would be at peace with the doctor's decision.

Aidan - He is serving in Iraq, but will be coming home from duty in a couple of weeks.  His schedule time is always changing - please pray that a set date would made and he would be able to return home to his family soon.  Aidan is 19 years old.

On Going Prayer Needs
(These prayers will be carried over the next week from our New Prayer Requests unless I hear from you).

Valerie G. - She had a doctor appointment this past Wednesday to discuss treatment for some cysts found in her uterus.    Please pray for wisdom in deciding what treatment to take.

Mariah
- A young 16 year old girl who was involved in a car accident two weeks ago.  Although she is healing nicely from some minor injuries, please continue to pray for stength.  Parent struggles have got her depressed and needing support.  Let's lift her up and pray in hopes she finds that peace.

"Aunt Karen" - She had surgery Monday to remove a "spot" on her bladder.  Please keep her in prayer during this time.  She is resting and doing well, but is still healing.

Grace - Little Grace is still having GI trouble and now may be facing some visual perceptual problems.  Please lift this little girl up for healing once again.  The tests and treatment that is needed is expensive and additional funds are needed for a necessary ortho consult Grace needs.  The family is asking for prayer...  prayer for wisdom and patience with finding a new doctor and the means to handle the finances.-

Prince Caspian - This little boy is struggling still with his OCD condition.  Please pray that there would be wisdom in handling his medicine, treatment, and general care.  It can be difficult at times for his family to understand and handle, so please keep them in prayer as well.

Children To Pray For:
Please read each request listed at this link - CLICK HERE -  As a new idea, I will feature one child every week for prayer; however, I ask that you please visit the link above and pray for all.

Featured Child Of The Week:   Natalie

Click Here To Read More About Natalie's Story

(Written By Her Dad) "The Merry-Go-Round is Natalie’s favorite place in the world right now (besides Mommy’s lap).  I have a very cute photograph of Natalie “before” Leukemia (it’s in my phone, though)  This is a “during” Leukemia moment.  Very cute, huh?

The “before” photo made us cry and cry back when Natalie was first diagnosed, because she was lying in a hospital bed, too weak to stand.  We cried and prayed, and I (Dad) would plead to God and say “little girls belong on the ‘Merry Ground’ laughing and riding, not in hospital beds!”  I know He is in control, and I do not doubt His power and goodness for a moment.  I just wanted my little girl riding that horse!

But now - during this “in-between” phase of treatment, Natalie is strong enough to ask - every single day - to go on the “Merry Ground.”  It’s $2 per ride, and I couldn’t care less about the cost.  I hand the two bucks over gladly.  We wipe the pole with a disinfecting wipe to avoid germs, and we “whoop it up” for 2 minutes and 30 seconds! (well - Natalie whoops it up - Mommy and Daddy alternate between joy and tears and wishes and weakness and strength and hope and faith...)

Perhaps I’ll make a photo collage of “Natalie on the ‘Merry Ground’ photos” one day.  This photograph is like God’s promise to take care of Natalie (and us!) all the way through this process. It brings joy to our hearts that our little girl has something she enjoys so much."

Please lift this family up in prayer as they continue in their fight against this angry monster Cancer.  Thank you.

PRAISE REPORTS:

A Note From Grace's Mom - "I have a praise to report regarding Grace. Soon after placing her on this prayer list for the second time, I discovered some dietary issues that were causing her to have the GI symptoms. Praise the Lord! We have found some things we can do for her, simple things, like limiting white flour and sugar. Those seem to irritate her digestive system, but she is not allergic to them according to the testing she's had. So, thank you for praying. I really appreciate your faithfulness. We still need to take her to the orthopedic. Her pediatric doctor said to wait until March when she will have her next check up. So until then we wait on the Lord to provide a way. And I am sure he will! "

Dot:  Her Aunt Karen is healing well

Lucille -  She fell last weekend.  Her arm is healing nicely, but slow.  Please continue to lift this 93 year old lady up to the Lord.
