Something To Think About...

hand print background

As many of you know, last week I took a few days off from blogging to "hang with my babies". Well, let me tell you this...  I had a great time snuggling under blankets, cracking jokes at the breakfast table, taking long walks outside, and sneaking them out of bed at night for a fun unexpected adventure.  I just had to do it...  and I had fun!  At times I get so lost with what has to be done, that I forget my priorities. With that being said, I also forget to have fun.  I want to ask you...  when was the last time you made blanket forts in your living-room or made a huge bubble bath in the sink for your kids legomen to swim in? (and didn't complain?)

Of course, I am so thankful I was there to answer these lovely questions that suddenly came up on a whim...

My Prince Charming - "Why does the neighbors cat scat grow hair? "

Or how about this one...

My Super Hero - "Mom, do you ever brush your teeth? I never see you do it.  "

It just never ceases to amaze me the questions that pop into the brains of a child when we don't expect it.  Just think, if I wasn't there to answer those important questions...  my son(s) might really think I don't brush my teeth or that hair really does grow on cat scat.   BTW:  I brush my teeth in the shower and at night after he goes to bed (2x's) - much too personal to admit, yet important to set the record straight *giggle*

I encourage you to take a moment and "smell the roses" around you.  Your kids are growing up quick.  If you don't take the time now and notice the little things, it will pass you up and you'll ask yourself  "Where did all the time go".

Something to think about...
