Welcome to Weblink Wednesday hosted here EVERY week.
How did Weblink Wednesday begin? Well, last year some time I got to thinking that there are so many great educational links out in Internet-land that there had to be a way for all of us to share them with one another. So, with a little help from some friends, I found Mr.Linky. The rest is history.

The link I want to share with you today is Spellingcity.com - click here
This is a great site is available to "teachers" free ~ including you. I believe it is one of a kind. You can sample the site or dive straight in with your own spelling words. SpellingCity is a fun new educational site that can help children improve their spelling skills. The site contains over 25,000 words, including plurals, contractions, future and past tenses. It uses a REAL human voice that says both the word and the word in a sentence. It also has a 'Teach Me' function that spells out the word using both visual and auditory input to improve retention. The best part about the site is that parents can enter and save their own spelling lists for their students/children. Also, students can play games with their words or any saved lists and parents can save and share their lists.
