"A pictures worth a thousand words"... well, if that is true, then we have millions of words to share! This past week my daughter entered her right of passage by being old enough to go on her very first amusement park ride. What fun she had (and me!). I've got to admit that I wasn't sure how things would go since she is only 20 months old. But what a trooper!!! She is amazing. My sweet girl was so happy and playful. Never a cry or fuss. She loved the hotel and loved the busy schedule while on vacation. This was surprising because she is still a two-a-day napper and only got maybe ONE nap the whole time we were away.
No need to worry... this photo says it all. She had her first ride on the carousel. Big sparkling horses and flying pigs; music and rotation. She was giggling and laughing. She even hugged her horse! For a
"first timer" I was surprised the moving animals didn't scare her. The funny part? Well, my youngest son was sitting behind my daughter trying to convince the
flying pig with horns (that was beside him) that
pigs that have horns only
live in Hell and that this pig should repent so it could go to heaven! It cracked me up!!!
I really think he is going to be a pastor when he grows up. My oldest son wasn't "into" having conversations with the animal beside him, instead he sat in front of my daughter trying to point out all the mechanical devices on the carousel
(he's my intellectual one). Of course, that leaves me and my husband. We acted like first time parents snapping photos every two seconds. It was a blast!!!
Although most of the park consisted of roller coasters and rides for older kids, my little one did get to experience some entertainment. She rode on the tiny tot train, the miner's railroad, and the big
choo choo. Other than that, her first time in a swimming pool and hotel suite was sufficient enough.
What fun!
