We are home, safe and sound... but oh do I wish I was still in Colorado!
Thank you so much for all your prayers and support while we were on vacation. Your comments were fun to read when I traveled to the library for internet access. Unfortunately, I wish I could still be sitting in that small little library, writing this post and dreaming of the home I will own in Colorado. However, reality has set in this morning as I started my laundry and cleaned out the car. We're home.
We had such a great time relaxing and smelling the beauty of Colorado. All the memories of living there for 12 years and enjoying all the people we know who visited us throughout the week. It was so wonderful. It's no wonder I cried the night before we left just thinking about returning to California. Although CA has it's own beauty, my heart is in Colorado. My kids didn't want to leave either... and my husband is still in a state of shock of being home and facing work in the morning.
The Lord answered our prayers and gave us a clear picture of our future with the preparations we need to make. Get this... We hope to be settled into a home of our own in Spring... in Colorado. Not only for beauty sake, but for ministry. Homeschooling is BIG in this area and what the Lord has laid on my heart for ministry within that community is so exciting. I mean, have you ever had a desire and know what you're called to do - but are just waiting for that door to open? Well, I found that door. Now, we are going to have to wait for the perfect timing... and opportunity. It's coming... I feel it in my soul. So, one day at a time and one step at a time - all things will work together for the good.
My "casted" son did fine - thanks for praying. He ended up being in a bit of pain every night from traveling with his foot (walking on it now and then). However, his mood was in good shape and his complaints were minimal. I was able to sneak my oldest out on his own to do some "wet" stuff that the younger could not do... and provide surprises for my other son as he sat on the couch or bed. My baby did the best - she is a traveling superhero! What a trooper!! Smiles everywhere and lots of new things to discover. My husband also got some photography in along the way. He has some amazing photos!!! I'll be posting some here and there... so, if you ever want a print, please let me know :)
Ok - I'm off to do some straightening up and some photo sorting. I'll post again soon and try to visit everyone. Hope you had a great weekend.
