Show and Tell With Canadagirl...

legos

What do you do when you find out your son has to wear a cast for FOUR more weeks?  Well, you go shopping!  With his older brother out climbing trees, taking swim lessons, and off to camp in a week - the younger brother tends to get a little...  well, let's say....   "active" in his daily routine.  I mean, if I had to go back into an ankle cast I would go stir crazy!  So, we went to Walmart and bought some legos he has been keeping his eye on.  In my opinion, there is nothing better than a box of new legos to keep a child down and occupied!  Great motor skills, thinking skills, concentration...  you name it - I'm a taker for legos!

My son chose to get one of the Star War's collection.  He is now interested in the Clone Wars collection.  I was surprised that Walmart had them - I've only been able to find the fighter jets at the mega Lego Store at Disneyland (or Internet).  So, I swallowed my "No, it's too expensive" words and purchased the fighter jet.  He loves it and doesn't care if his big brother is going to swimming lessons this afternoon or not.  Hurray!!!

So tell me, is my kid the only one who is Lego crazy right now???  I'm not "hip" to what other kids are playing with inside their homes (other than video games), but I am guessing Legos are still popular.  Maybe it's just because of the cast thing...  but who knows.
