Thank you SO MUCH for all your little prayers for my son's hamster. Remarkably, Scout is doing pretty well. His "bumps" (as we call them) seem to be shrinking a bit. Maybe the cranberries are working for the most part? My son is a little intimidated to hold the little guy since he does have those bumps, but that is fine. I still get him out and put him in his wheel - and my son still talks to him through the cage. Who knows how long this fellow will live due to his cancer, but for now he is holding on...
I have a question:
My son goes to camp next week (first time away from home) and I'm hoping that Scout stays with us during that time. In a way, I'm kind of thinking of the unmentionable... replacement. Yes, this would be the perfect time - but then again, it would also break my son's heart if he found out. What do you think? Should I secretly replace the hamster with a twin? I know where I could get one. Oh! Sometimes being a mom is hard - I could really use your advice...
