Well, we're suppose to start school today, but I am finding that I was not prepared as I should of been after our two week break... so, I will start officially back tomorrow. Until then, I have a story to tell... as you know my oldest son adopted a hamster a couple of months ago. Saved all his money and has made an awesome "dad" to this little guy. He's done such a great job. His food dish is never empty and his fur is never untouched. So adorable...
Well, my little niece also adopted a hamster around the same time - She named her hamster "Buddy". Same kind of hamster, same age... same funny stories to share. There were even rumors that the two would be united in hopes to produce little Buddies and Scouts. Unfortunately, plans have changed. It seems that little "Buddy" met his fate under a heavy English book. Yep, my niece called us the other day to deliver the news... I'm still not too sure how it all happened, but none-the-less Buddy is gone. So, now...
my son has vowed to never allow any English book to come near his hamster's cage... not even his little sister is allowed close (though she doesn't look like an English book). You can forget sneaking him out of his cage for a quick twirl around the room in his ball - all has to go through my son now. Sort of like a Library - you have "check Scout" out to have any fun! He's so protective... Wow, in our house it's definately not about a boy and his dog, but rather A boy and his hamster...
Well, I just had to update you - a fun post today. Hope it makes you smile, maybe even giggle a little. Scout is now a full time resident in our family and is taking up ownership of the hallway at night and the bedroom during the day - Who would of guessed how loud those nocturnal animals could be. So cute!
