The weblinks I am going to share with you today is from my Yahoo! group and are some of the answers to my post yesterday. It's a list of weblinks for dad's who might be homeschooling and need support. Of course, I welcome all dad's to take a look at these weblinks in effort to help support YOU, the homeschooling mom. I have an awesome Yahoo group that I moderate and I am so thankful to these ladies for their help in finding these weblinks.

The weblink that I am going to share today is one of medicine - if you call it that. It's for vision and color therapy for adults/children. Not many people know about this type of reading therapy, but the research I've done on it seems to be encouraging. I'm still new to color therapy, but I thought I would share the link anyway. What makes this type of "therapy" interesting is that studies show that children who have reading difficulties have had great success when they follow the program. The Irlen Institute theory is... by using certain colors laid over a page in a book, the human eye can focus better, the brain function better, and your able to read longer without sleepiness or blurred vision. Over all, reading improves. For some reason people who tend to have problems because words on a page "jump" around or run together, suddenly can read with no problem when using certain colors overlays, too. Very interesting. This weblink has simple tests and samples you can look at...
Summer is the time (in our house) to get all the dentists visits over, the eye doctor, the health exam and everything "medical" taken care of. It is also time for me, as a mom/teacher, to do research on new ideas that can help my children to exceed. This weblink is just one of "those". Thought I would pass it on to you...
