Barngirl and her trusty steed Butterbean competed in the fair yesterday:
All geared-up and ready to roll....

First event - jumping 18" fences:
Child's play.
One event: one blue ribbon. A good start by all accounts.
Ah, the smell of victory.....
Next event: Junior Division Walk-Trot
Two events: two blue ribbons. But Butterbean is looking bored...
Next event was the one Barngirl worries about: English Equitation. This event evaluates her proper riding form (I think?). Anyway, there was more competition in this event but they still pulled out a 2nd place ribbon.
Barngirl saves her kisses for the special boy in her life:
4th and final event: English Walk-Trot "Go As You Please"
Another blue ribbon!
When the points were tallied in the Junior Division, Barngirl earned "Reserve Champion," which is a fancy name for 2nd place. Another girl entered more events, so her point total was higher. Still, Barngirl was not disappointed. It was a very satisfying day at the fair!
Now, let's get to some serious fair business: an excellent corndog and some cotton candy!
