Today is my friend Emma's 16 birthday!!!!! :)

Emma, you have no idea what a great friend you are. Through the last year-and-a-half, we've gone through a lot together...as individuals and as friends. Thanks for sticking with me, girl! You have no idea how you've blessed me in so many ways...I don't know what I did before we became friends. You're always there to listen to me complain, sigh, cry (wow, that rhymed) and just be happy. Thanks for being there.

So, for your birthday....we're going to burn pancakes! :P It's the best I could do, dearie, even though we're not 62 yet. Or, you're not anyways. :) Sorry guys, inside joke.

What else can we do? We could finish our book...um, no. Let's go to a ball! (ish)

But, of course, since we're Baptist...dancing isn't exactly..well...anyways, moving on. Here's your BEAUTIFUL dress:

Friday, May 9, 2008 - Happy Birthday, Miss Jocelyn!!

Today is Miss Jocelyn's 17th birthday! Happy birthday!!!!

For your party, we're going to have a ball! Very similar to the one at Netherfield during Pride and Prejudice....can't you just picture yourself dancing with Mr. Darcy? *smile* That'd be so fun!

For food...well, we have to have Dr. Pepper. I really don't know what you like to eat... :) I suppose we'll have a dinner like they do at a ball....English food, of course. :)

After you've danced all evening, and never sat down (it IS your birthday!) you've got to rest a minute or two...how about a nice, leisurely stroll through the rose gardens? They're quite lovely this time of year....

Now, for my prayer for you on your birthday. I pray that God would bless you beyond your wildest dreams, and that you would know His will for your life in this upcoming year. I pray that you would be able to sense God's hand on your life, and be surrounded by His love. I pray that you would have an enduring peace that passes all understanding, and a love no matter what happens. I pray that God would continue to mold you into the woman He wants you to be.

Today is my Daddy's birthday. :) I don't think I can say how old he is, but I'm sure it's not that old...quite young, to be exact.

My Daddy and I have a special relationship. We talk politics, music, church, crazy stuff, and pretty much everything else that happens to come to mind. My Daddy isn't perfect, but I know he tries to be the man God wants him to be.

My Daddy is awesome because...

• He's a pastor, and is completely devoted to his job. And, he's good at it! Even though it gets tiring, and sometimes it's a thankless job, he keeps doing what God has called him to do.
• He always makes time for us-his family. He generally works at home, so he can help us with schoolwork, correct a rhythyn on the piano, and take us places. Even though he could easily work all day sometimes, he doesn't.
• He loves me and wants what's best for me, even  though I might not enjoy all his decsions.
• He works hard for what he wants-he has a dream of our family moving up on his property, and is working on clearing land, and getting a site ready for the house.
• He shares my love of music and good books.
• He is in love with Jesus, and does everything he does to serve Him and glorify His name.
• He's a great cook-his grilled chicken Rocketh My Face Off.
• He helps people who need it-whether it's working on their house, praying with them, transporting them, encouraging them spiritually, or just viisting with them.
• He believes in me even when I feel like giving up on myself.

So, for Daddy's birthday, I had to think long and hard about what to do for it. I thought of places to go, things to eat....

For Daddy's birthday, he and Mom get to go back to Israel! They're leaving for three weeks, so they better get packing. I hope they have fun in the Holy Land.

To eat...Before you go, that is. All that kosher food in Israel is great, but we have to celebrate first. So, you and Mom can go to Marketplace! Don't worry about us kids, we're fine here. You can take as long as you want, and do whatever you want. Have fun with those sweet potato fries!!!

I wish I could do all that, but in reality, all I can do is give you your present and say I hope you have a Very Happy Birthday!

Friday, April 4, 2008 - Happy Birthday to CALEB!!!!!

Note: Caleb is younger than I am by about three years. He's the 4th out of 5. :)

Wow..I can't believe you're 11. I feel old now. I remember when you were three, and I was five...and we'd play babydolls, but you were my babydoll. ;) So sweet.

You're a great little kid, Caleb...okay, maybe not so little. But, you're really great at helping me on TOG tests...geography questions...playing basketball with me...putting up with me trying to play piano with you.

Gotta love you, little bro!

So, for your party....

They really insisted we have it here! Since it's so beautiful, I really couldn't resist.

Now, the REALLY important thing. Food. No, you aren't a teenager yet, but food is still very close to your heart. :P

We're having HAMBURGER STEAK! And MASHED POTATOES! And ROLLS! (Granny's, of course!) But, no veggies mind you. None at all. The food isn't here yet, so let's see....

Oh, yeah, we were gonna play some football this afternoon.

So, these guys decided to come play too....(By the way, it's insane how much more you know about this than I do...)

Dear Luke,

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great year of being 19! (Man, you're getting old) Welcome to your party! I thought of this several weeks ago, and started planning with several bloggers about doing a blog party. Can I say that your blog is *very* hard to hack into? It is. :)

To think that you're already 19....it makes me think of huge Lego castles built, trips to Branson (and Silver Dollar City ((and even more, CASCADES!))) , playing soldiers in the yard, making up stories during school time, your graduation, Fan the Flame, Church Camp, and so much more. Luke, you've always played a huge role in my life. To me, you've been the big brother, the role model. The one that when I was little, I wanted to marry. When you told me I couldn't, you crushed me...till I decided I had to marry someone JUST like you, instead. I never told you this, but you were a huge part of me getting saved. You were one of the biggest influences in my life. I love you, big brother.

You were such a cute baby, too. (not that you aren't now, too!) I know you've blessed Mom and Dad throughout your life, and I pray you'll continue to every day of your life.

My birthday blessing for you is that your days will outshine the glory of Aragorn, King of Gondor. May your love and passion for God will reach the ends of the earth and see many saved. May you will be successful at whatever you put your hands to. May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams. May your days be filled with love, happiness, and everything that God sees fit to give you. Lothlorien seems a good place for a birthday party. At least, I hope you'll have fun, hanging with Galadriel and Celeborn.
They decided to light things up all pretty just for YOUR birthday! (do you feel special? :P)

At any rate, I thought it would be fun....now, for the food. Unfortunately, they ran out of lembas, so we decided to fix...

Yup, you got that right! Pepperoni Pizza! This is actually Mom's homeade pizza, but it's hard to see that in the picture. ;) But, knowing you have a big appetite, we decided to have something else too...

Yes, this too is homeade! Mom decided you *neeeded* this too....now, to drink...

There was Sprite here too somewhere...(yells, "Daniel!!!! Where's the Sprite?")

We'll find that somewhere...

Now, for the entertainment...I thought of several things. I thought eating might be entertainment enough...I thought that going to Lothlorien might be entertainment enough...but, no, we have to have entertainment. :) So, we've brought some of your favorite people in...you get to film a movie!!!!!!!! You get to direct, order professionals around, mess with professional actors....we got Viggo, Orlando, Christopher Lee, Elijah, Billy, Dom, Liv, Bernard, Sean Bean, Sean Astin, John (Noble), David, and...just for you, Luke, we got...Peter Jackson! :P Yes, he agreed to come and work with you on producing..of course, you're still in charge. So, have fun for your birthday! (and take lots of pictures! :P)

Now, as to the guests...of course family, friends, and your fiance! :) But, we invited a special guest....

Yes, as a birthday guest, you get...CHRISTOPHER TOLKIEN! I know you'd love to spend hours with this guy, but, I'm afraid it's time to open presents.

Now....what did I want to get you???

It's the closest I could get to the Complete J.R.R. Tolkien. Of course, that would have every scrap written by him, every audio recording, everything written about him, everything with the movies...all of it. :P But, in reality, what I did get you was this...A Hunted Website. :P Check out huntedthemovie.blogspot.com. It's not absolutely done, but I've got a real good start. Thanks for being who you are Luke...thanks for being my brother. I love you.
