I'm not one for political discussions, but this particular video struck me to the core of my patriotism!!!!
Careful, this may bring you to tears. It did me!!!
(You'll need to turn my player in the sidebar off before you begin!)
I found myself cheering for this young man even BEFORE I saw his leg!!!
Neither my hubby nor I were in the military, but we are teaching our boys to be patriotic and that the freedoms we have, like being able to worship God freely and go to church, all came with a price and this young man is one of many who has paid it for us!!!
(Please do not respond with controversial or argumentative comments. That's not what my blog is about!! Thank you!)
Enjoy!!!

I wasn't in the military either, but my father was...at a time when it was considered "unpatriotic" to NOT enlist. My dad couldn't even find a job in his hometown because employers there thought he should be serving his country rather than finding work at home (Korea era). I am appalled how "unpatriotic" a large population of this country has become. Why? Because they don't want anyone to die. They've forgotten the blood that has secured their freedom. I'd prefer no one died either, but I realize that freedom doesn't just fall in your lap. I only wish that our founding fathers were still around...they'd probably let them know exactly how many people...and who...died so they wouldn't be subjects of the English monarch right now...with NO VOICE in the laws passed to govern us!!

Thanks for posting that video. I had not seen that one and thought it was great too! My Dad and Father in Law were both in the Vietnam war. My Father in Law was actually a POW for 7 years. My granddaddy was in WWII. I always cry when ever the National Anthem is sung. We pray everyday that our country would "return to the principles it was founded on" and we are so proud of troops and our country!

Tissue please! I know many in the military. Some are family and some neighbors and friends. We pray for them and are in awe of what they do so we can be free.
