Ear Surgery

Posted in Family Life

5 years ago we knew our son would need to go into surgery for his ear when he turned 5. Now the wait is over. Our son will be having ear surgery in the morning. He was born with a condition called congenital atresia. The surgeon will be performing a procedure to give him an ear canal and ear drum for his left ear.

We are a wee bit anxious like any normal parent should be. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't. But I do know that we serve a big God and he has us all in His hands. The Lord has given us a peace about this since day one. We know that this is all for the Glory of God.

I'm excited to see what kinds of things happen through this blessing in disguise. The Lord allows us to go through all sorts of things to make us stronger and to go deeper in our faith. Sometimes He takes us through things to bless other people.

I pray that we can be a blessing to someone tomorrow and in the days to come. I can tell you that our family has already been blessed and grown deeper in our faith. What an exciting and adventurous road we are traveling. We'd love your prayers. Blessings to all...

I'm glad the surgery date has finally come around.

I'll keep your family and the surgeon in my prayers.

We'll definitely be keeping you in our prayers. Our second son had surgery at 5 days of age, it can be a hard thing to face. I am glad you have a peace about this.

I'm praying for you all as you are in surgery with him today. I know that is a tough thing. We had to have our son recircumcised at 6 months. He also underwent anesthesia to repair a deep lip gash.
Also, I love your knitting projects...the latest vest is quite nice! Wow. I wish you were my neighbor so you could show me!
I did finish my little dress...thanks for the advice. Ironing as I went made all the difference! I'll post a picture at my site soon.
