Hi friends! Tomorrow is August 1st! Can you believe it!? I have been preoccupied with getting the inside of our house prepared for the installation of new windows! Yippeee! No more drafty cold MN winters on the inside of my house anymore! Although today I would certainly enjoy a cold draft blowing through. Up here in MN we aren't terribly used to 90 degree temperatures. We're pretty much melting around here. It feels way too much like my summers as a child in Kansas! Brown dead grass and the sound of locusts/cicadas...is there a difference? I need to look that up! So we are all feeling very sluggish and our usual quick banter and dialect is slowing down to that of the south. It takes a lot more time to spit out what you have to say when you're so hot..... Are you following my philosophy? The further south you go, the slower people talk because of the heat. The further north you go the faster people talk because of the fridgid temperatures! You have to talk real fast to get out everything you say before your lips freeze! The eskimos don't talk at all cause they would be frozen solid...just kidding. As you can see my brain is a little ummm...tired and jumbled from the heat and the exhaustion that comes with working in it! I need some iced tea.
