My DS6 had his first lose tooth this summer. He had been wiggling it for a few weeks and then finally one day after trying to open something with his teeth (ahem...I know...I wasn't happy either...) he started screaming because he saw and tasted blood! So after he calmed down we promptly assesed the situation and realized that tooth was coming out that day!
With our DD8 we had all sorts of adventures with dental floss, string, and finally being kicked out by brothers foot on accident of course. So I wasn't sure I was ready to approach all this madness like we had before. My husband had been chief tooth extractor for our first born. I thought surely there is a more humane and methodical way to approach this right of passage for our second born. My wheels began to turn and the lightbulb went on! Let's use the kid flossers! They are perfect for wiggling, tugging and yanking that bad boy out of there! So my DS promptly went to the bathroom and began his ordeal of getting the tooth out.

It was just hanging there, but he was determined!

Look at all that leverage with this wonderful tool!

So after it was hanging there by a thread and we had twisted and turned it...good ole' mom did the final twist. You know, that sensation of the tooth breaking free is the same wether it is coming from your mouth or your sons! Crazy! It took me back a few years to my tooth pulling days!

Look at that!

I have one happy 6 year old and I am loving that fun toothless lisp! Too cute!
