Another Ear Surgery

My ds6 is having another ear surgery on Wed. morning. We would love to have your prayers as he is having the 2nd phase of his outer ear reconstruction. We know the Lord is watching over him and are so thankful for everyone's prayers. The surgery will last 3-5 hours. I will update you on the procedure and all that happened for this surgery after it is done. Thanks for your prayers and support!

I found your comments while searching the internet for information about ear trauma. My brother (51 years old) was recently in a car accident and his left ear was severed. I am looking for information about the process of reconstructing the ear. Did you have a plastic surgeon or some other specialist perform your son's surgery? Would you recommend the surgeon? If you don't mind me asking, what was the nature of your son's accident? Unfortunately for my brother, there is nothing left of the external "cup" of the ear. It has been 5 weeks and the site is healing, but now he is very worried about the appearance and what to do. All his doctor is saying is that it is worse than he first expected and they have a long road ahead of them. I think he would feel better talking to someone and getting a second opinion about what to do. Any information you might provide would be greatly appreciated. I am so glad your son is recovering so well! He sure is a cutie.
