~Chapter Six~
With the hustle, bustle and confusion at the airport, Ian didn't get to leave as soon as he'd like. Instead, he got stuck in the cafeteria-style eating area, along with Jeremy, and the girl from the plane. He now knew her name was Raina, and they were carrying on an in depth conversation. Turned out, Raina was going to her aunt's house, in the suburbs of Fort Peters. Having been gone so long, Ian didn't know who Cora Longford was, but Raina knew Nicole. Ian's breath nearly stopped. His mother. Immediately, the anger he felt toward Charlotte St. Peters was overwhelming and all consuming. He had to turn his head, so Raina and Jeremy wouldn't see the flames of rage in his bright green eyes. He wanted to get out the letter he'd found in Charlotte's nightstand, the letter that had made everything clear to him. The kidnapping, the fake names, the reason why Charlotte had drug him from place to place under the pretense that they "needed to see new sights". It made him realize just how crafty and sly Charlotte was. Leaving without her knowing he was headed to Dawson had been hard.
Jeremy pulled at the straw in his root beer, and picked at the salt on his pretzel. Should've gotten that giant chocolate chip cookie, he thought. His sneakered foot hit his duffel bag sittng underneath the table, and caused Raina's L.L. Bean bag to move.
"Oops. Sorry."
Raina smiled at him, and said, "That's okay. So...where're you headed?"
"I'm not sure. I left home because I was tired of being told how to live my life, and how I need to choose a college, and how I need to stop "playing around". I needed some freedom, some time to think. But now.....now I'm too free. I have no clue where to go or what to do. I have money but...."
"I understand. I want to do something important, but I don't know what."
Silence came over the table, and the three teens, as they each tried to contemplate their next move. Ian was just bored; when would that taxi get here? Raina was dreading her stay with her aunt. And Jeremy was becoming homesick.
At long last, the taxi arrived; Jeremy saw it from the window he was sitting next to. Ian gave him an awkward hug, and waved to Raina. Then he walked out the door, to go see his parents for the first time in what seemed like forever.
Which left Raina and Jeremy sitting in the airport.
"I really should go", Raina started, "but I don't really want to."
"Tell you what. You show me to the nicest hotel in Fort Peters."
"Deal."
They grabbed their bags, and headed for the door.
Note: So how is it so far? LOL

Hello Becca!
Thanks for commenting on my blog...I'm VERY excited about going to Italy and Spain! I'm going with Global Expeditions...You can go to the site globalexpeditions.com and they'll have a list of all kinds of places you can go on mission trips. They're expensive, but God has no limits!
I haven't gotten a chance to read your whole story, yet...but I read some of chapter six, and you seem very gifted with words! How old are you?
