A Note and The First Post of WBB: Abortion
I've made a kinda tough decision......I'm dropping the story. It's not fair to have it, but never update it, and I don't devote enough time to it. Then I post about other things and feel sort of guilty because I didn't posted Chapter Seven or whatever. So yeah. I'll let it rest, then when I get a sudden burst of creativity, I'll finish it in a couple days, and post the whole thing. Or e-mail it if you want it or something. I'll still post short stories, Fan Fic, Book Reviews, etc. Just nothing about Ian, Jeremy and Raina.
So that's my big news. LOL Now onto my actual post....
This blog is gonna be where I post more indepth stuff. On GiftedGirl, I sometimes post that. But here I'll post it more. Plus, I had a brilliant idea. I'll write a book called What's Bugging Becca. Like the title? Catchy, eh? LOL So here I'll get my practice.
First post for WBB, (What's Bugging Becca), will focus on a topic that's been bothering me lately:
The non-respect people have for human life. Abortion is the greatest example of this. It is the murder of an innocent person, yet it is practiced every day all around the world. What happens to, say, some guy who kills a child? If all goes correctly, he is put in jail. What happens to the doctor who kills an unborn babe? Nothing. Both he and the mother of that child go free and clear, despite the fact that they have just commited murder.
I don't care if the mother did not want to get pregnant. Why should she "get rid of" her innocent child, who is nothing but the result of another's cruelty? If anything, she should carry the baby full term, and feel sympathy and love for a person who was just as helpless as herself.
I don't agree with the choices of the teen mothers, the ones who knew full well what they were doing. But I do commend them, because even though the world's pressure to abort the baby must've been strong, she didn't.
What really gets me is the difference in people's attitudes: Some cannot have children, but desperately want them. Others can have children, but do everything to not have babies.
America is the land of the free. Everyone has a free choice. Furthermore, God gave us each a free will. So I understand that I cannot stop all abortions, I cannot convince some to not support such practices. Despite a baby's inability to choose for themself, I can point out that abortion, although the mother may want it, is a direct infringement on the child's rights. Some of the politians and doctors are so fired up about the woman's rights, and how abortion should be available to her. Yet they cut off another persons rights, they effectively and permanently silence a voice that hasn't even had a chance to speak yet. Where's the freedom in that?? To be killed before you have chance to see the world, before you can fully experience that freedom that America is known for, is an absolute horror.
Regardless of what others say, I will always defend the rights of the ones who cannot speak up for themselves.
