~New story; the other one is no more~

Ok, so the other story lost it's "specialness", if you will.

So, here is another story, which I really like, and am going to continue writing.

Prologue

"Oh, what a beautiful baby! You must be so proud."

The words came from the mouth of Charlotte St. Peters, who was gazing at the baby boy with admiration and jealousy in her piercing green eyes. She appeared to be happy with her new nephew, but her mind was reeling. Why did her brother and sister-in-law have a baby, and not her? Why, after so long, did she not have a child?

After Charlotte had left, Nicole looked at her husband worriedly.

"Marcus, did you see the way she looked at Ian?"
"What do you mean, dear? Charlotte fell in love with Ian!"
    "That's what I'm worried about."
"Why? Oh, not that Nicole. I'm not sure why you're so against having my sister around, but I assure you, she's harmless."

Alothough Nicole tried to be reassured by her husband's words, something kept telling her to keep Ian away from Charlotte. Something kept telling her to keep herself away from Charlotte too....

Bad ending, I know. But it's supposed to keep you wondering. Things will be different in the first chapter, which takes place 17 years later. LOL

New Story

Posted in Fiction

Here's the start of my new story! (I haven't thought up a title yet)

Sorry it took so long for me to post it!!!

The sound of Switchfoot drowned out the other noises in the plane. With the music, he could not hear the baby crying across the aisle, could not hear the girl sitting next to him flipping the pages of her magazine. And, most importantly, he couldn't hear the nervous flight attendant trying to talk to the passengers. He wasn't sure why she was so scared, but he knew that she was doing an awful job of acting confident. What was there to be so afraid of? It was just another plane ride for him....

Ellen tried not to look scared. She really did try. But juding from the looks on the passengers faces, she wasn't doing so good. She told herself that this fear was irrational, that it was stupid. But she couldn't get Sam's face out of her mind. Everyone told her that she was living in the past, that she should just move on. But it was hard, oh so hard, to move on.

Why can't people just move their legs?, Raina thought. The guy sitting next to her had his legs all stretched out, and she had no room at all. What was worse, was that he had his headphones on, and couldn't hear her. And she was not going to yell. It would probably scare Aunt Ellen half to death. Oh, but how would she get him to move?

New template

Okay, well......I guess.....I'll just have to do a mix of all those different templates. Should turn out to be a very, um, interesting look!

By the way, Chris- the music is This Love by Maroon 5. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner!!! I like the beat of the music. I don't think the lyrics are that good, which is why I like the Midi version.

Anyway,

I'll have the new template up soon!!! I PROMISE!

Love,

Becca

Whoo! Long time, no entry! Sorry!

I'm finding it kind of hard to keep up with 2 blogs....and since I'm in a very, very llloooonnnngggg non-writing lull, there hasn't been much to post. Except, I think I shall get to work on a new story tonight. That way I can post something worth reading in a couple days. LOL

And I need to change the theme of this blog....hey! Why don't I have a template contest like I did on my other blog!? It worked out quite well. I'll just let all my friends from my other blog know about it. Yeah, that'll work.

Okay, so here are the themes you can choose from:

#1. Phantom of the Opera  (one of my personal favorites)

#2. Rain   (I love rain! It makes me want to write....)

#3. Star Wars Prequel Trilogy   (more of my favorite movies)

#4. Music   (hey Chris...maybe Music will win this time!)

Or

#5. Pippin   (yes, a whole, entire Pippin theme! I love that idea!)

Ok...now it's time for you, the audience to decide.....

Who will be

Rebecca's Next Blog Theme?

Vote now!

Love,

Rebecca

My New BG

A new entry at last! Yay!

Like the new BG? I love it. Although, I think I'll change the music.

I'm in a non-writing mood right now. I just can't make myself write anything. Not sure why. It's like the story lost it's charm for me.

I think I shall go put some more blinkies on my other blog....

amazingly enough, a new entry!!! Yay!!! LOL

So.....how does everyone like this story????? Only Angelfire commented. I guess she's the only one that loves me....

Okay, I'm done now.

LOL

So yeah. I can't remember what I was gonna say....Oh yeah! I'm reading The Last Silk Dress by Ann Rinaldi right now; very good book. But I still think her book Time Enough for Drums was better. Ann Rinaldi writes alot of books set in a war. Time Enough for Drums and The Fifth of March are Revolutionary War; The Last Silk Dress and Amelia's War are Civil War.

But now I must go and leave you all....

Whatever.

New PotC Story....Enjoy!!!

Posted in Fan Fic

“Marty, do you know where Elizabeth is?”

“No, I don’t. She’s been staying away from us and not talkin’.  She’s been actin’ mighty strange ever since- well, you know.”

Yes. He knew. He also knew that he had been acting strangely himself. He was hurt and confused. Seeing that had been shocking and harsh….but he suspected that Marty was referring to Jack’s death, not the kiss.

Elizabeth sat stonily on the deck. Sobs threatened to come; threatened to make her bawl and scream.  She promised herself that she would not cry, at least not tonight.

She knew that Jack was a good man, despite his betrayal, his cocky arrogance and his unordinary love of rum. She had long ago realized that chaining him to the mast and leaving was the worst mistake she had ever made. And now she had no idea where he was, whether he was dead and gone, or somehow alive.

Will heard the scuff of a boot, and the sound of someone’s breathing. He quietly turned the corner of the ship - the ship that Tia Dalma had somehow managed to find – and saw Elizabeth. Well rather, someone who resembled Elizabeth. This wasn’t the real Elizabeth; this person was a ghost. By day she was silent as she went about her work, only speaking when completely necessary. At night, in the moonlight, with the stars twinkling above her, she looked like some kind of tortured ghost; beautiful, despite her look of grief. This was worse than seeing cursed, skeletal pirates, or the slimy crew of The Flying Dutchman. This was the person he loved more than life itself, and this time he couldn’t help her.

“Ah, curse Jack Sparrow!” Will thought, angrily. “This is his fault; all of this is his fault!”

He started to go to her, to try to comfort her, but his broken heart held him back. He turned and went back below deck, back to his bunk, to try to relax and find precious sleep.

Elizabeth turned her head just in time to see Will’s retreating back. She was shocked, but then realized how stupid and selfish she was. How could she expect Will to still care for her? How could she expect Will to try to comfort her? He had every right to walk away, to forget her and leave her to her sadness. But, still, it hurt.

One kiss, just one kiss, and look at all the turmoil it had caused. But she didn’t regret it. She regretted hurting Will, and she regretted leaving Jack, even if it saved everyone else. But she did not regret that kiss. Could not, would not regret it.

She looked up to see a shooting star, and made a wish. Hopefully, somehow, it would come true.

Love,

openings...

Posted in Fan Fic

I'm back! Yay! I took a break from blogging for a couiple days while my family was here.

Here's a question for all who read my blog:

Which opening is better for my new PotC fanfic?

Opening #1:

"Ah, Will, don't do that!"

"Why not?"

Gibbs smiled to himself. Will had finally done it. He had finally coaxed a small half-grin from Elizabeth. She had been quiet and drawn ever since Jack had been taken down. She stared at nothing, talked to no one.....

Opening #2:

"Marty, do you know where Elizabeth is?"

"No, I don't. She's been actin' very strange ever since- well, you know."

Yes. He knew. He had been confused and hurt ever since. Seeing that had been shocking and harsh...

Opening #3:

Sobs threatened to come, but she wouldn't cry. She refused to cry. To cry would be weak. She couldn't be weak now. She promised herself that she would stay strong, but out on the porch of Tia Dalma's home, it was easy to forget her promise....

Okay, so what do you think?

Let me know!!!

Medallion; my first fanfic

Posted in Fan Fic

I'm looking at PotC fanfic at the moment....and have gotten some very good ideas!!!

I'll post my PotC fanfic story here....

Medallion
A What-Happened-In-Between-The-Movies Story about Pirates of the Caribbean
By giftedgirl

The sun was shining brightly, and the beautiful waters of the Caribbean reflected the intense light with more sparkle then usual. Elizabeth looked up from the letter she was supposed to be working on. She smiled at the sheer beauty of the day. And the prospect of seeing Will today. She felt slightly guilty about the medallion hidden in her drawer. The medallion that she had taken from Will 5 years ago, in a swift attempt to save him from the punishment fit for a pirate. And now, even though she knew he was not a pirate, at least, not from what she knew of him, she still couldn't give it back. She felt had the strange feeling that doing so would alter the course of both her and Will's lives. It was probably just a silly imagining, but still, she could not bring herself to give it to him.
Will....he was getting taller and stronger every day. Being a blacksmith's apprentice suited him well, and he had quickly proven that he had much talent at making fine, beautiful swords. Not only were they fine, beautiful and lovingly crafted, they worked well, with a good strong blade that cut sharp and swift.
Elizabeth allowed herself to drift away to the day they met, that strange, wonderful day. After finding Will, she had questioned her father, (as best as she could), about what would happen to him…

“But, sir. What will happen to Will, I mean, the boy?”
“I will find him a position, maybe as an apprentice. But these are not questions a girl needs to ask.”
“Father, just one more question. Will I be able to see him often?
“Maybe, child. Maybe.”
“Couldn’t he stay with us?”
“Why, Elizabeth! You shock me! We know nothing of the lad. Of course he cannot live with us.”
We know he’s a pirate, Elizabeth thought to herself.
To her father, she said nothing. With that, he turned to talk to Norrington. Elizabeth thought him a nice enough man, but his extreme dislike of pirates went against her fantasies and dreams of meeting pirates. She couldn’t imagine marrying such a man.

Later the next day, while Will was asleep below deck, Elizabeth returned to her turbulent, quickly moving thoughts. Since she had seen the burnt ship, the parasol floating on the dark blue surface of the ocean, her curiosity had been overwhelming. Since she had seen Will, lying limp on the piece of ship, since she had seen the black sailed ship mysteriously drifting away into the fog, her curiosity had dominated every other thought. Why weren’t people curious?
Pirates seemed to be an entirely different race of people. They were hard, vicious men, (and sometimes women), who seemed to delight in causing fear and grief.
Elizabeth dearly wished to meet one. Maybe because they were so strange and dangerous. Maybe because they were never actually home, just in one place or another. Whatever the reason, she thought that meeting a pirate would be exciting. Her father did not agree. He was more skittish, more fearful than his curious and adventurous daughter. And she knew full well that as soon as they arrived in Port Royal, she and Will would be separated, only to see each other on rare occasions.

As Elizabeth thought back on this, five years later, she smiled at the fact that she was right. As soon as they had docked at Port Royal on that beautiful day, Will was taken by a servant to one of Governor Swann’s friends. This friend was the one to secure Will’s position as an apprentice blacksmith.
After that, Elizabeth only saw Will 3 times in 2 months. And these were just quick glances. One time she almost ran up to him, but her sense of propriety, (although at times small), stopped her.
Unknown to Elizabeth, Will saw her too. Short unexpected glimpses of her, dressed in her beautiful gowns and hats and such
Elizabeth promised herself that someday, somehow, she and Will would spend time together, talk and laugh together.
And then, only then, would she tell him about the beautiful, awful, captivating medallion hidden in her desk.

So, yeah, that's my first attempt. I'm working on another at the moment, so keep checking!!!
