Nov. 13, 2006 Some fun and Games
|
I promised to keep you up to date with the Christmas Happenings... So here is a fantastic Advent idea over at O Night Divine!
And check out Jenns Christmas Card Ornaments! How to make them can be found here: Christmas Card Ornaments.
In the mood for a little contemplation? Then read this AMAZING post at Et Tu, Jen?
Very moving! Still need some ideas for a good charity for this year's boxing day? (Age old custom of giving to charity the day after Christmas)? It looks like Sophia Institute Press could use our help. Perhaps you can make it one of your charitable contributions this year
This was a fun quiz from Belief Net: (HT to College Street Academy ) And here are *MY* results! Your Results: The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa. Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking. 1. Eastern Orthodox (100%) 2. Roman Catholic (100%) 3. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (95%) 4. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (90%) 5. Orthodox Quaker (79%) 6. Jehovah's Witness (76%) 7. Seventh Day Adventist (74%) 8. Orthodox Judaism (74%) 9. Bahα'ν Faith (71%) 10. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (67%) 11. Islam (66%) 12. Sikhism (52%) 13. Liberal Quakers (47%) 14. Hinduism (40%) 15. Jainism (40%) 16. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (37%) 17. Reform Judaism (37%) 18. Unitarian Universalism (33%) 19. Mahayana Buddhism (30%) 20. Theravada Buddhism (29%) 21. Neo-Pagan (25%) 22. Nontheist (20%) 23. Secular Humanism (18%) 24. New Age (17%) 25. New Thought (17%) 26. Scientology (16%) 27. Taoism (16%)
Not bad! Although I would switch the top two...

Oct. 16, 2006 Nerdy? Logical? Try it and see!
Checking in around
the blogosphere, I am amused to find a few of the quizzes out there that deserve
some of my time... hat tips to Alice (fondly
known as Alice-stotle) and the not so nerdy Marian Vitamin...
Surprisingly, I am logical. Yeah... but it took me a while ;)
| You Are
Incredibly
Logical | Move over Spock - you're the new master of logic You think rationally, clearly, and quickly. A seasoned

|
Courtesy of many, many bloggers... but firstly Melissa at Too Many Hooks...
from My Heritage.com you can do this for yourself. I made mine
all female... partly because I do not think I look much like David
Letterman, who was my top match! Apparently, I look like many smiling
people!

A friend just sent me to the Nestle site... where they are offering FREE CHOCOLATE!!
You sign up to be a chocolatier, and they mail you a free coupon...
Now why would I post this on a homeschooling board? Because,
sometimes, chocolate is necessary ;) in a homeschool mother's life...
like those times where things just do not seem to be going your way...
(and if I get 25 clicks on this link, I get a second coupon for free chocolate... you can sign up to do the same!!)

THANKS to KathyJo for this quiz... I LOVE Indiana Jones...
 | You scored as Indiana Jones.
Indiana Jones is an archaeologist/adventurer with an unquenchable love
for danger and excitement. He travels the globe in search of historical
relics. He loves travel, excitement, and a good archaeological
discovery. He hates Nazis and snakes, perhaps to the same degree. He
always brings along his trusty whip and fedora. He's tough, cool, and
dedicated. He relies on both brains and brawn to get him out of trouble
and into it.

Oct. 5, 2005 And my colour is...
|
Once more... a thanks to Kathy Jo!!
| Your Blog Should Be Purple | You're an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything. You tend to set blogging trends, and you're the most likely to write your own meme or survey. You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say. |

Sep. 13, 2005 Classic Dame...
THANKS to Mungo for the test!
Myrna Loy You
scored 14% grit, 28% wit, 33% flair, and 33% class!
| You are class itself, the calm, confident "perfect woman." Men turn and look at you admiringly as you walk down the street, and even your rivals have a grudging respect for you. You always know the right thing to say, do and, of course, wear. You can take charge of a situation when things get out of hand, and you're a great help to your partner even if they don't immediately see or know it. You are one classy dame. Your screen partners include William Powell and Cary Grant, you little simmerpot, you. Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the
Classic
Leading Man Test.
