Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

Roses are Red, and Violets are Blue. . .

Sugar is sweet and....

Warning: this isn't a cute moment so much.

*sigh*

You know, there are certain things I have a tough time ignoring. The boys know which buttons are warmer than others, and we've got an understanding about the following: lying, stealing, cheating. These are the things we know God *hates* by reading the verses in the Bible about them, and, therefore, Mommy is allowed to hate them, too. Not only that, I'm hoping they will develop a strong distaste for these things as well.

Anyway, yesterday was a tough day for the little guy. Sadly, he was unable to control himself around the temptations of the kitchen. We know this is a problem, but there's no way to watch every second...and we know his cleverness is beyond the average bear, even if we thought we could watch him every second.

Yesterday, while I was grooming the sheltie, a job that can take up to half an hour to complete, my dear younger son was in the kitchen.

What I found later:

*a chocolate and caramel bar in his shorts pocket
*brown sugar all over the counter and floor
*granulated sugar all over a separate counter and on the floor
*snack mix crumbs intermixed with the brown sugar on the counter and the floor

Uhhhhhh...the upside to this?

Hmmmmmm.

It must be that the chocolate bar was not yet melted...or that it hadn't made it to the washing machine yet???

Ahhhhhhh. Life.
