Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

Look Who We've Got Our Hanes on Now!
Posted in Boy Things
*Previously published on my old blog site.*
I think I've just decided boys have a very odd sense of humor. Most of it, I think, I will never get. Girls have, perhaps, a more sophisticated idea of what's funny, and that just may be a mom's problem in a boy world.
My friend and I decided to go to the beach one day. Two moms, four boys, and decent weather seemed to be a fairly fun combination. I didn't expect too much out of the ordinary. When the older two boys decided to ride together in my car, I was sure it would be almost boring on the way to the beach. That goes to show what I know!
The boys were chatting in the backseat as I followed my friend's car with the younger boys. When I heard some giggling in the back I was pretty glad the boys were having a good time. It's when I turned around to glance at the crescendoing laughter that I was knocked completely off kilter.
Apparently, my sons packed everything they needed, including some fresh tidy whities for after swimming. Not surprising. When I looked back, my son had tidy whities on his *HEAD*! Both boys were now just losing it in laughter.
I didn't mention this to my friend because I figured her son would say something about it eventually.
The most mortifying part of the whole thing was the cars to the left and right of us that seemed to have difficulty driving in a straight line while laughing.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Boy humor. |
