Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

"Ohhhhhhh, Christmas Bush...."
Posted in Boy Things
Well, there are moments when you just "bust a gut" laughing from a funny and you never seem to get it written down in time, right? This was from last Christmas, and it was just so funny in the moment I planned to get it penned as soon as possible. (Is about 350 days considered "asap"?)
We went to the local Denny's last year for a meal not long after Thanksgiving. It was a slow day at Denny's, so I guess they decided it was the perfect time to set up the restaurant's Christmas tree and decorate for the upcoming holiday. (It was nice to see a Christmas tree, actually!)
Well, the decorating was only partially done with their little fake tree. We came in at the point where the bottom layers were done, but the top layers were non-existent. Truthfully, my son's response was just too classically "boy" and too perfectly timed!
He burst out in song, of course!
Out came the tune of "Oh, Christmas Tree" with the following lyrics:
"Ohhhhhhhh, Christmas bush! Ohhhhhhhhhh, Christmas bush! How lovely are your-r-r-r-r-r-r branches!"

(The entire restaurant staff heard it, looked, and laughed...just as much as we did!)
