Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

Creative Bible Solutions

Many of you know we are working through verses in Proverbs for now, hoping to mine the wisdom out of the book and get it into our lives. Scripture memory has been a big part of our study, and is going well. I'm proud my sons are beginning to store up the verses in their hearts and minds, and I keep hoping the Holy Spirit will bring the right ones up when necessary. ;')
The verses are now beyond awkward fumbling, which is a wonderful thing! Most of our memory verses are flowing easily...and quickly...and smoothly...and quickly. Did I mention they are coming quickly? We're breaking sound barriers and speed records and goodness knows what else.
I tried to have the conversation about enunciation and diction. *sigh* That fell on deaf ears.
However, if a teacher was to use characters in a movie like. . .Star Wars. . .
And, if that teacher was to ask the students to contrast two characters in the movie. . .
And, if one of the selected characters spoke English clearly. . .
And, if the other contrasting character spoke English terribly unclearly. . .
Then, if the students were asked to give the verses "in character" a couple of times, imitating both character choices they've made. . .
The teacher just might have a near-perfect young Obi Wan instructing in wisdom! And, she might LOVE it!
Tomorrow the boys will be saying their verses in character for the Principal before he leaves for work. ;')
This was true Bible fun meeting function! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think we've gotten the message I needed to convey across to the students. Yay!

Thanks for the prayers. James is healing. Hopefully, he'll be coming home in a few more days.
Have a wonderful day!
