Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

In Like a. . . .

Good morning, all you March-lovers! I love a new month, don't you? Having just leaped over February, what shall we do with March 1?

Survey time, of course!

Where you are, is March in like a lion or in like a lamb?

Today is ridiculously cold here. There's no wind. I can see the sunshine (an unexpected blessing). So, do I have to say "in like a lamb"? Can I qualify by saying "in like a lamb wearing long-johns hoping to get next to the barn heater or at least strategically place its long-john-ed body in the middle of the flock"?

Brrrrrrrr!

I may introduce a more interesting post later today. We'll see. I thought I  would start with this.

Have a great weekend, friends!

I have to agree. March is in like a cold lamb here! It is a beautiful day but a bit nippy. I think by tomorrow it is going to be warm, which is nice because we are having company for lunch after church, and maybe the kiddos can play outside!

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with what the lion and lamb mean. I'll just tell you that it is a beautiful day here. The kiddos are outside in SHORTS!! The two older ones anyway. I can't wait until spring!

March in Colorado came in like a beautiful lamb. It was gorgeous today...like 73 degrees. So we stayed out in it for most of the day. It was a good day!

Have a Blessed Weekend! Hope to chat over at the homeschool lounge soon! Praying it warms up to spring for you soon! Our March first was a bit cooler than this past week, from high 80's back down to 60's. Poor me, I bet your thinking. LOL I love summer, so I can't wait till it's here.

Hi :) The scours are diarrhea *grin* Sometimes we call them the 'scoots' to :) If they get them when they are only a week or 2 old they need to get extra bottles with just water and v-lite or another electrolyte replacer to keep them good and hydrated. We have to keep a really close eye on what their droppings look like each day to catch it early and help prevent it. Did you know that pepto bismol actually works on a calf to? No kidding! LOL.

Well, in Dallas, March 1 was clear blue skies and about 80 degrees. March 2 was cloudy, increasingly windy and wet, and major t storms with a tornado watch by nighttime. March 3 was 40 degrees and dropping, windy, wet, turning to sleet then snow fall last night! We drove home in that! But by the time we reached central TX the skies cleared, got windier and was cold!
Blessings,
Laurie
