While I sit on the phone (a half hour at least by now) and wait to "talk to a representative" about WHY my website is still DOWN after their fancy move this weekend, I have tons of time to visit and comment and post. You know what? You can always go to the past Mindtrap Mondays by clicking the Mindtrap Category on the sidebar. He-he. Oh, and today's MM is up. I was gone all last week so I'm just now catching up on comments and stuff. Oh...I started out as caller #32 and now I am currently caller #5... "...waiting to speak to a representative.Thank you for your patience.." which, I confess, is running thin.

Wednesday, April 2, 2008 - Psalms!

Today I really enjoyed my time in Psalms. We're working through Proverbs for Bible time, so this is a nice compliment for me. I loved reading it, and I think I'd forgotten how wonderful David's emotions can be. I mean, who wouldn't want to say, "Lord, break the teeth of the wicked!" Back then, I imagine it would be the worst thing you could wish on someone. No teeth? No food. No food? Well, you die, right? :'O Where we are in life right now with all the "stuff" going on means I sometimes want to wish the worst on my enemies (the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms). I don't know if they have teeth, but I would love for Jesus to break SOMETHING of theirs! ;')

I'm really enjoying my time with the Psalms, so I just might stay here for the whole 30 days. We'll have to see. I imagine I wouldn't get through them all in 30 days if I did. Psalm 119 has a way of doing that to me. ;') Hope you are enjoying the challenge as much as I am!

I finally got around to posting today on my reading. I'm loving Psalms. As I move through Psalm 8, 9, 10 and 11, I'm reminded of David's long and trying season of life. Enemies everywhere, David has much to say about them. What I love most is that he always comes around to the Lord. May I always remember to settle with the Lord, no matter how ruffled I may be.

I have to say that I've been reading through Psalms. I just didn't post yesterday because I came home from worship service, read, and crashed for the night. I plan to read right now, too. It seems on weekends when I am serving, I get little morning time and more evening time. I'll take what I can get, though. At least I am still making the effort and following through! Yay, God! Yay, God in ME!
