Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

It's Wednesday. . .
Posted in Mom Things
Being completely unsure what to think of this day, I've wrestled with what to title an entry. You see, a few days ago I would have had to use words like "wet" or "waterfall" or "whammy" or something. Thankfully, the events didn't actually fall on a Wednesday.
Today feels a bit like a clean slate. I'm not sure why, since some circumstances haven't changed a wit since yesterday or the day before. Other things have budged, and I am so grateful! So, here's a little glimpse of where I am today.
Yesterday my little Habanero, who has been getting quite a "rep" with his temper, had the most fantastic day we've had in months! (Yes, we can all Happy Dance now!) *wiggle-wiggle butt* He finished everything I asked him to do, and there was no temper tantrum at all! Each subject was completed, and then we went into his room for a quick Happy Dance. When he finished everything, he was granted an opportunity to work on his break dancing techniques with mom! (Yeah, I'm a cool mom! I can remember back to the "old school" break dancing days!) Does that make ME "old school" in more than one way?
Today Habanero is having a pretty good day. I see him recoil in an odd, timid way when he thinks he's going off the deep end. We'll work on that. I want this to be a victory and a reason to celebrate. He's finished all the morning work with only a few things left to do for the day. (Insert another Happy Dance here!) *wiggle-wiggle butt*
Bell Pepper, who is usually my reliable, diligent student, has had a rough two days. Can we just all pray for him? I need him to quit "pendulum-swinging" for the moment, please. :'P
The basement has been basically DRY since our little plumber visit. We've just been drying out the things that take a little time: clothing, rugs, a box of old toys I may just toss. But, hey! It's drying, right? (Insert third Happy Dance here!) *wiggle-wiggle* So, I have much to be thankful for, right?
It's still a "mixed bag" of sorts. Our television must have been in cahoots with our sump pump and the other evil things in the last week. It's timing its death more dramatically and slowly. Whatever will we do if it dies during American Idol?!?!? I'm praying against that.
Still, the weather is nice. All is well with my soul, basically. And, God is still very, very, very good! :')
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
