Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

My Monday. . .
Posted in Mom Things

So, my boys are going through ACSI Stanford Testing this week in the mornings. (Long story short, my husband and I have an agreement about annual testing.) I have no problem with this, as I know it's a week of mornings when the kids will be in a safe place for a few hours. It's almost like a Spring Break. *giggle*
Then I realized something. . . .
It's awfully quiet here right now. . . .

I think I shall have a wee bit of java and pray for the boys. . . .

I may just have to talk to myself this morning!!!!

On a related, but rather different note, we prayed before they left this morning. I found it rather HILARIOUS that each brother prayed for the other. Obviously, they felt the other needed more help in the testing than they personally did. Habanero prayed Bell Pepper wouldn't look out the window and be distracted. (Something they would both be prone to at this stage.) Bell Pepper prayed that Habanero would finish the test questions on time. (Something that would definitely apply in either scenario!)
Ahhhhhhh. I miss my boys. Four sleeping dogs and three chattering birds is pretty quiet in comparison to the boy noise I'm used to in the morning. Whatever shall I do with my time this week?????
Note: I went a little smilie-crazy here. Can you tell I had absolutely no distraction for twelve minutes? Yes, twelve whole minutes of silence. . . .
I look forward to picking them up later this morning!
