Spirited Sons - Tag! I'm It! (Dashing Hero)

Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Tag! I'm It! (Dashing Hero)

Okay, so I don't think the tag was actually called "My Dashing Hero" in the original form. It was something clever like "Top 10 Things I Love About My Husband". Sometimes I fit under the category of "different strokes for different folks" when I want to be creative. *grin*

Okay, so what are the top ten things about my Dashing Hero that I love. . .

10. He *can* shoot and score the socks into the laundry pile!
9. He tries to understand me...even when that is really, really hard to do!
8. He explains all the "boy stuff" I just don't get!
7. He is willing to mow the yard...even with the nasty hill at the front!
6. He will pick up things from Craigslist for me!
5. He accepts our animals...even if they are out of his comfort zone!
4. He is a very gifted pastor-type dude!
3. He is a fantastic dad to our sons!
2. He's a wonderfully committed husband.

And, the number ONE reason is. . . . *Insert drum roll here*

1. He loves God passionately...and me, too!

What a great list! Have you shared it with Mr. Dashing yet?

As I read it, I was thinking what would I put on such a list and the first thought was 'he's a great dad' but I was also aware that he was off to 'rescue' Caylee, my 18yo (that's still hard to say, lol) who's car broke down on the way to take her finals. 1 down...now I'll be pondering the other nine all day... hmmmm =)

As for Blue Man Group. It was awesome! We loved it. George (10) screamed so much he was hoarse the next day! Now they DO encourage screaming, yelling, audience participation and such, so if you don't like it loud, I wouldn't recommend it. They also cover the audience in paper and have them dance in strobe lights. Very crazy stuff. It was a fun night.

What a great list! I don't really like tags either, but I agree this was a good one to take.
It does me good to remember often all the reasons I love my dh and all he does for me. :-)
