Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

Completely Tired

Posted in Mom Things
It's been a busy day today. I had to finish some work in the morning, and then our family went out for the late afternoon and evening. We went to the local forest preserve (there isn't much forest, though). It has a large lake to walk around, a large playground for the kids, and paths through a few gardens. It was a pretty nice day, even though it was overcast.

We ate dinner at the local Tacos El Norte. I'll be chowing Tums tonight.  ;')

After all the family fun, we followed up with one of the larger book sales in the area. Finally, we had an organized sale targeting our county. What a blessing that people were willing to put it together. I found a ton of wonderful, cheap things for next year. Yay! Much of what I found was exactly what I needed. (Though, I did feel the need to buy a copy of Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein for $.25.)  :'P More on books later perhaps. . . .

Did I mention I'm absolutely, completely tired?  *sigh*

"Forest Preserve." There's a term I haven't heard or used in a long time. Brezina Woods, Cermak Woods, and McCormick Woods were our hang-outs back in...yikes...'80-'83. That was a lifetime ago!

I love used books! There's something satisfying in getting a good price on one....
And Shel is always worth full price! LOL! My 18-yr old is a huge fan of his books.

Sounds like a good day. =D

Had to chuckle a little at the forest preserve not having much forest left. That's too bad though. Good deal on the books, especially Shel!

Blessings,
Kym
