Welcome to My Blog!

Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for! I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all! This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here. Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do! Blessings!

Back to Life. . .Back to Reality. . .

Posted in Mom Things
We are home now. I didn't reveal all, of course, before we left. The internet is rather readable by all sorts of people, you see. You knew that, though.

We went to the Dells. Yes, this is the area that boasts the famous Lake Delton, upon which the Tommy Bartlett show has been performing for years. This is the same lake which drained out of a broken levee just weeks ago. So, yes, we saw where the lake WAS, but there is no lake. It was odd. Plenty of traffic moved along the Wisconsin River, so it's not entirely "boatless" up there. The area didn't look any worse for wear.

It was a great time with family. The water park resort where we stayed was fabulous. Well, unless I start to write about the bed, which was much like sleeping on a warped board the whole night. *sigh* Ignoring that, it was a great trip.

I'm glad to be home to my monsters (pets) who apparently did not allow the house sitter much sleep. Poor guy will probably sleep for a week now after being here for several days. He'll never think his own home is noisy again!  *lol*

Well, I'm trying not to look at the work that needs to be done, so I popped in here. Soon it will be time to feed everyone and everything in the house. Talk to you all soon!

Hi Jen!
Glad you had a good trip!!! I went to the Wisconsin Dells a couple of times while I was growing up, it was a fun, memorable family time! I am so glad you found a housesitter, too! I know how difficult that can be..we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 parakeets, a hamster and now a toad! LOL (and if you count the crickets that we have to feed the toad...)
Blessings!

Welcome back! Going on a trip is fantastic, but nothing feels as good as your own bed when the "vacation bed" isn't comfy :)

Traveling is always an adventure in the sleep department. It never bothered me before having kids. It's either their fault or the fact that I am getting OLD. Welcome home. You were missed.

I'm glad you had a nice trip! I've heard the Dells are beautiful. I hope the inevitable catching up after a trip goes smoothly.
