Welcome to My Blog!
Schooling two active boys has never been more... interesting. That's the word I'm looking for!
I love my boys! God has given them the blessing of strong, active bodies and minds. We continually pray the first will remain intact, and the second will remain engaged with Him first, and then the school work. You'll meet my sweet sons, both entirely different, but both loving God to the best of their ability in the way He made them. I lovingly refer to them as my Bell Pepper Boy and my Habanero or Hambone. That should say it all!
This blog is an eclectic mix. The events, conversations, and the thoughts behind it all will be in here.
Every once in a while I'll try to capture something I don't want to forget. I hope you find things you enjoy. Please let me know if you do!
Blessings!

Everyone's a Critic?
Posted in Mom Things
Today has been a lazy afternoon. I've thoroughly enjoyed it, and I was thinking I needed to get back to the blog sometime soon. So, here I am, friends! (Aren't you glad to see me?) ;')
Today is a sort of Show and Tell from me. I've only done this a few times, hoping you'd enjoy something a little "different" from my corner of the Blog Universe. So, here goes. . . .
My little show and tell piece comes from my Bible study for my small group. We are studying Isaiah, and I had spent some time in the sixth chapter. As I considered how this passage applied to me, I felt the need to draw in my sketchbook journal. Here is the (probably unfinished) work:
Now, this may make a bit of sense to you in light of the passage, and it may not. To my Habanero, it did not. He wanted to know why I would draw a picture of a flaming marshmallow.
*sigh*
Ah, well, such is my life with my boys. He wasn't really being critical, just making an observation, right?
FYI...there were alterations made to the artwork in response to the comments. Who knows if it looks anything more like a coal. Please remember that I am just LEARNING how to draw!
