I had a lightbulb moment a couple of days ago.

When DH mows the yard I can be so picky. I've learned to not complain, but I still would get annoyed that he wouldn't weed eat much, and there would be areas that were so tall. I to look at those areas, and it really bugs me.

So the other day he was mowing, and I noticed he did a decent job at getting these areas.

Then it dawned on me...I have not done a good job lately of keeping house. I have let things creep up on me and it has become quite messy.

If DH was as critical and picky of how I do my "jobs" around the house as I can be of him, we would have a pretty unhappy marriage, I think.

It was just a big lightbulb moment of how picky I can be, and how I need to give him more grace, and be grateful for all the things that he does around here, even if I "think" I would do things "differently."  ;)

DH certainly deserves better from me.  :)
