Tapestry of Grace

Homeschooling

Has anyone used Tapestry of Grace by Marcia Somerville?  I'd love to know more about it.

Also, has any one heard of specialized curriculum for  dyscalculia, it is a term for those dyslexic in math.   I have a friend seeking some information.

Thanks

I noticed on the Times Tales website that it is wonderful for dyscalculia. One of the authors, Dena has a blog here. I believe it is http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/RedHeadMom
She might be able to point you in the right direction.

We used TOG a couple years ago. It is really great, but it was WAYYYYYYY too much for my kiddos (the oldest was in 1st grade at the time). The physical layout could be put together better, but the curriculum itself is really good.

We use Tapestry of Grace - I used half of year 3 and we are beginning year 4. It works best for older kids (I'd say 3rd grade and up) but what I like about it is that you can teach all of your kids at the same time. I have a 10yo, 7yo and a 5yo. So the 10yo does more detailed work but the others are doing similar things, all in the same historical time frame. I also like the fact that you can substitute books, and I can find most of them at my library.
