His First Political Speech

My son, Jason (14) gave his first public speech today. He spoke in front of US Congressman McCotter, his commander of the Young Marines, an audience of over 500, and his very nervous mother! He did great! I just read on Valerie Bendt's blog that she is sending her son over to Iraq on June 1st. I'm not ready for that yet. This was emotional enough for me.
