Stuck in My Head

Description

Everyone has a song that they just can't seem to get out of their heads; it's stuck. I'm one of those people, and my blog will be about those songs that I just can't seem to forget.

So I Thought

"So I Thought" by Flyleaf

A few years ago, I hardly ever listed to the last song on an album. Lately, I've been finding that the last or second to the last songs have been just as good as the previous ones. "So I Thought" is no exception. Like all of Flyleaf's other songs, this one gets the listener thinking. Going off the lyrics, this song is about letting go of someone you love. To me, however, this song is saying to love the little things in life; to enjoy life and not grow up too quickly. At one point Lacey sings, "Ignorance is bliss, cherish it...", and she is so right: ignorance resulting from being young should be cherished. We don't have a care in the world when we're young, but that all changes at a certain age. Most of us are in a hurry to grow up, and we don't appreciate everything that comes with being young.Time flies too quickly and so many times we forget to enjoy the things that make life great. For me, "So I Thought" serves as a reminder to slow down and simply savor life.

Good thoughts! I think I am really going to enjoy reading your posts! I like what you have to say, but I would like to add that (forgive me if I add your opinions. We've gotten rather used to doing it on HSB. I just want to let you know that I'm not trying to squash you, I'm just trying to throw things out there.), it is good to be ignorant during childhood and to not try to seek knowledge that is not for us to bear, but that does not mean we should also run away from responsibility. I feel that too many young people today try to act grown up without taking on the responsibility, and that is a bad thing. All I am saying is a advocate a healthy balance, especially for teenagers.

Ok, I'm done ranting. :-) Keep up the good blogging work!
